Code of Conduct
The Order of the Republic is first and foremost a place to have fun. Unlike most guilds, we do not impose a restriction on the game, and what it is you can and cannot say. Everyone's thoughts and opinions will be treated equally, regardless of rank, age, religion, race or gender, sexual orientation, etc. However, to ensure people have a good time, and to maintain a proper flow within the guild, the following rules must be established and followed. All individuals, whether they are a member or visitor, are expected to behave accordingly. Show respect to everyone by following the rules listed throughout the rest of this code and other areas of the site.
Behaviour
-
Signatures and Avatars - Any and all images that are deemed offensive will immediately be removed. If one feels their signature or avatar was unjustly removed, they can appeal the decision to a site moderator. If the moderator decides that the image was in fact unjustly removed, then the image will again be free to use.
- Hacking and Exploitation - When playing Guild Wars we should all be on the same level. This means that hacking or exploiting the game to give you an advantage is strictly prohibited. If you find something that allows you to do hack or exploit the game, then you should immediately report it on the Guild Wars Support Forums.
-
Drama - Guilds have been know to contain drama since the beginning. Any and all dramatics are prohibited, as this is the very thing which ultimately ends in simple differences turning into arguments, and good friendships lost.
-
Double Down - When you are a member of the Order of the Republic you are not allowed to be a member of another guild which also plays Guild Wars regardless if you have more than one account.
Inactivity
Life away from the computer is something that is recognised and encouraged here at the Order of the Republic. We understand people have lives way from the computer, this is why we will not be on you to be active on the forums or server to maintain general membership. The guild only ask that you try to check in once a month on the forums. If there is no activity from a user after 6 months they will be considered to be inactive. After 1 year of inactivity without notification they will be removed from the guild.
In the event a member was inactive due to a serious issue at home and they were removed from the guild, they may inform a leader who will review the situation and may return them to their previous position. We ask though that members inform the guild if they think they will be away for some time.
